Title: Question about TMP level on Osutchi/Mesutchi

Real_Three - May 19, 2008 10:18 AM (GMT)
I have a question regarding TMP level on Osutchi/Mesutchi, what exactly is it and how does it rise/fall? I know that the level determines which set of characters you can get but what determines the level? Thanks in advance! :)

It's sort of like the character grouping thing used on the Entama (Mame, Meme, and Kuchi), but slightly different. It's a way of grouping characters, but breeding to produce characters from different groups is different.

There are four levels of TMP, and there are different characters for each. Breeding two characters of the same TMP results in babies in the next TMP. For example, Kiwitchi and Pyonkotchi are TMP1 adults. When they mate, they will produce TMP2 babies (Teletchi, in their case).

Binary's got a chart with each character and their TMP.

Also, in later generations, really bad care during the baby and child stages can result in the teen or adult forms going back one TMP level. In this case, a TMP4 Harutchi can evolve into a TMP3 Batabatatchi if I don't discipline her or fill her hearts.

I see, thanks OM! So at the moment with both my characters in TMP1 when they are adults and mate they'll produce TMP2 babies, but which babies will depend on which TMP1 adults they are themselves. I must say I'm loving them so far. They are toddlers right now and I'm guessing the growth is the same as P1/2 in terms of time between stages? (I also keep humming the tune from the start of the game! :haha: )

The following observations are based on notes I made in August 2007.

Osu/Mesu Growth Stages

First Generation (from egg)
Egg - stayed on screen for 5 minutes before it hatched.
Baby - lasted about 63 minutes.
Toddler - lasted about 23 hours 45 minutes awake time.
Teen - lasted about 37 hours 30 minutes awake time.
Adult - as with other Tamagotchi models of this era, their care requirements increase with their age. Probably it will be difficult to keep them alive past 21 days.

Later Generations (from live birth)
The parents leave the baby in your care around midnight of the third day. (e.g. If the parents mated on Friday, they will leave around midnight as Sunday turns into Monday. On Monday morning the baby will wake up all alone.)
Baby - lasted about 11 hours 15 minutes awake time (alone; after the parent has left.)
Toddler - lasted about 23 hours 10 minutes awake time.
Teen - lasted about 37 hours 15 minutes awake time.
Adult - same as first generation notes.

Wake & Sleep Times
Baby 9:00 AM, 8:00 PM
Toddler 9:00 AM, 8:00 PM
Teen 9:00 AM, 9:00 PM
Adult 9:00 AM, 10:00 PM
Uglies 10:00 AM, 11:00 PM (Sutebotchi & Tsuketchi)
Oldie ?

Discipline
When a character evolves to the next growth stage, its discipline will drop to about half of its previous level.

Weight
Baby 5 g
Toddler 10 g
Teen 20 g
Adult 30 g
Uglies 10 g
Oldie ?
Weight-related notes: meals increase weight by 1 g, snacks by 2 g.
Playing a game decreases weight by 1 g until the minimum weight is reached.
The games can still be played even if the weight is already at the minimum.
If a character's weight reaches 99 g, a bloated face will fill the screen until their weight is brought back down to 89 g.
A parent (with baby) will not turn into Debutchi (the bloated-face character.)
A baby always weighs 5 g regardless of how many meals & snacks it eats.

Connecting & Mating
They will connect only to mate.
They can mate the day after they become adults. (One midnight must pass after they become adults, before they can mate.)
You have to keep them pressed together while they mate. If you allow them to separate before the mate icon turns off, mating will be cancelled (and the babies will simply disappear if they've already been born.)
The parents leave the baby in your care around midnight of the third day. (e.g. If the parents mated on Friday, they will leave around midnight as Sunday turns into Monday. On Monday morning the baby will wake up all alone.)
(? There is no departure animation; the parent just disappears. ?)
The baby will wake up in the morning with all hungry and happy hearts empty. Unlike a the Plus or Connection models, it will not wake into a sort of pause state.

Getting Certain Characters
The TMP (Tamagotchi Power) level determines which characters may appear. Generation 1 characters are TMP level 1 (which is the lowest.) With proper care, subsequent generations may have a higher TMP Level. The highest TMP level is 4.

I can't thankyou enough for typing that up Binary! So the 2nd gen (onwards) baby will not grow into a toddler for around 12 hours? Are they as needy the whole time? I'm going to have to try to time it all correctly so I'm not at work the next day after the parents leave either that or stop the clock!

I find it odd that there's no parental depature scene, perhaps the parents 'teleport' back up to Tamagotchi Planet? :haha:

Apologies for the double post, but I'm wondering if the babies from TMP level 2 follow strict growths becoming the toddlers/teens/adults below them only, on the chart? I.E, will a Tsubutchi always become Hyurutchi? Or can they become Puchitchi or Kareipantchi also?

binary - May 27, 2008 10:54 AM (GMT)
In my experience they've always evolved in a straight vertical path down the chart.

Sorry to borrow this post...as I also got questions regarding this tamas so i post here to avoid too much thread...sorry

Can ask?

How long will the generations of this tamas last till??

Cos I just bought 1 pair...but i dun really know what is it going on...thanks...=)

Each generation on the Mesu/Osu lasts about as long as a generation on the V5. The teen stage is longer, but the adult stage is shorter.

You can keep a pair of them going either until they die or the batteries die (the Mesu/Osu didn't have the Download function).
