Title: Osu/Mesu Screws
Description: Stuck! D: Very stuck!

Anyone know what size/type screws the Osutchi and Mesutchi use? I got my set earlier this week, but one of the Osu's screws is quite firmly stuck in place. I've tried everything, but I just can't make it budge and I'm also afraid I've stripped the screw a little in trying to get it out.

I'm about to turn the Osu over to my dad and have him help me with the screw, but last time that happened, the screw involved was completely ruined. Any advice on how to get the screw out or the size of it so I could buy a replacement would be greatly appreciated. :)

I would try
WD 40 first.

Oddly, something like coca-cola will sometimes budge screws as it reacts with any corrosion that is causing the screw to stick.

You could also try washing up liquid- or rubbing on hard soap, but be careful not to use any liquid products too much, so they don't get inside the tamagotchi. I would try all of these with a q-tip so as not to have any excess liquid.

Thanks for the advice...I didn't even think of WD-40, and as much as I use that stuff on the old, junky scanner at work, I really should have. >_< But now the problem's been taken care of...kinda. Within the past couple of hours (while I was away from the board), I let my dad take a crack at it. The head was drilled out, and the rest of the screw was twisted out with a pair of needlenose pliers--and that sucker was in there really tight.

So, uh, if anyone knows what size screw Osu might need, that would be awesome. It's running just fine with only one screw holding the battery cover on, but I'd feel better if I had the full set.

I don't know much about skews :P But my advise it to go with the other skrew (you could get that one out right?) to a shop that sells little skrews (or a shop with watches or something, don't know how it's called in English) and show the skrew!!! And ask if they have another one :)

I have a quick look and they look the same as the skrews from the old P1 and P2, maybe you have a broken Tama of that kind where you could take a skrew out...

I'd already tried that--I have a spare P1 I could have taken the screws from, but they're not exactly the same size and don't fit right. I've also tried taking a screw for another virtual pet around to stores before, but no one had the right size.

Hmmm to bad :(
Maybe a screw from the inside of a tamagotchi? Where the green-electronic thing is screwed with? I can not take my skrews out of my Osu&Mesu at the moment, because I'm running them and I'm afraid the battery will fall out, so I can not try it before posting..

I would be afraid that the inner screws are slightly more important than the outer screws--I don't want the Tama to fall apart or anything. Thanks, though. :)

No I didn't ment the inner screws of the Osu :haha:
But from an old broken Tama (if you have one)

Oh gosh, my Osu did the exact same thing. I ended up taking a screw out of a Tam I wasn't using, and whenever I choose to use it again, I'll just take another from another Tam I'm not using, you know? It's kind of cheap, but it gets the job done.
