I've seen some active members around this forum all of a sudden have the status "validating". I only knew members were validating if they haven't "activated" their account yet (from the activation e-mail). Why is this?

It's possible that they switched their account over to a new email.

Yeah, VT is probably right. Don't ask me why, though. Anyway, they might have to re-send their activation message, so that they can be established members again.

Thats correct - when you change your email address, you need to validate your account again, otherwise you appear as "validating".

I guess that since m*m*a's question has been somewhat answered, then a member of staff should probably close this topic.
