Title: Some snacks = Weight loss

Asiangotchi - February 16, 2009 07:55 AM (GMT)
Hi! I discovered yesterday that some snacks will make your Tamagotchi lose 1 lb. For example: A pear! It raises happiness, and 1 lb. I haven't found anything else, but oranges don't affect its weight at all.

Maybe we should make a chart!

Unless my knowledge of tamagotchis have gotten rusty, I've never heard of snack items making them lose weight before. I know each tama has a favorite and hated food, which will accordingly either empty out the happy hearts or add two, but I hadn't heard of this one before. There are special items like the scale, or some famitama items such as the mirror and the balance biscuit which will make your tama lose weight and return back to its normal size, other than that though, I'm not sure. Which version did you observe this on?

Ra,

This sounds like it happened on a V4 or a V4.5, when Asiangotchi's Tamagotchi had 3 stars in Health for the fortune.

Meaning it won't technically 'lose' weight, it just won't gain as much as it did before from snacks. :)

(Unless I've got the wrong version. O_O Might be the MS, but I don't know what it's like since I've yet to run mine...)

It must have happened on a MUSIC STAR.

I've just done a little bit of testing with some snacks.

Pear- -(minus) 1lb in weight
Pineapple- (minus) 1lb in weight
Grapes = no change in weight
Popcorn + (plus) 1lb in weight
Cupcake = + (plus) 2lb in weight.
Donut = + (plus) 3lb in weight!!!

meals (not just snacks)
choco bar- +(plus)1lb
corn = no change / 0lb
fries =(plus) +3lb

So obviously different snacks, change weight differently.

(previous versions all snacks gained 2lb)

EDIT : this is an interesting development. I will open up a topic in the project zone with a list of all foods, that can be edited when each food is tested for weight effect.

Nice finds, spudi. I also found out that some snacks lower stress, too. I was 11LB with 3 Stress, and I fed my Hitodetchi a Pineapple, and I then had 10LB, and 0 Stress.

You're a bit late SAM.

Have you followed the link to the project zone I posted?
