Title: Tamagotchi Garden cancelled?
Description: Does anybody know why?

Does anyone know why Bandai America cancelled the Tamagotchi Garden (english language)?
And also, does anyone know if they were planning to release any Tamas after that?

The first wave of Tamagotchis (1996/1997/1998) were a fad. Everybody had to have one. Bandai wasn't prepared for this. By the time Bandai had enough production lines active, the fad was over. Interest in Tamagotchis had collapsed. I imagine Bandai America cancelled the Tamagotchi Garden because they had millions of unsold (and unwanted) original Tamagotchis in their warehouses, and figured there wasn't any demand for new Tamagotchi versions.

I don't know if they ever made any English-language samples of the Tamagotchi Garden. This is all I have been able to find. A pin: http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g310/bin...s/pin-front.jpg and a brochure: (the "US Version" link on this page: http://www.mimitchi.com/html/morino.htm )

Oh. That's sad. I consider Tamagotchi to be much more than a fad, though I suppose I was only a little kid when Tamagotchis were first out. Anyway, thanks binary.

The Tamagotchi Garden would have been an awesome version! I wish Bandai had taken a chance! It would have made Tamagotchi more popular again! :(
