Title: Ocean Tama
Description: Very confused
ButterflyKisses - August 5, 2009 01:18 AM (GMT)
Basically, if you read my log, you'll see where i'm having issues. However, I'll just sum it up as best as i can.
I ran an Ocean Tamagotchi twice. The first time i fed it about 20 icecream cones, but took really good care of it and scared all but 2 bears away and it still died right when it was suppose to change into a teen.
The second time, I only fed it ice cream about 5 times, scared away all bears, played lots of games and it still died right when it was suppose to change into a Teen.
I was wondering at first if it was the ice cream that made the first one die, so I fed the second one much less. However the second one I put to sleep a lot more when i was busy. Basically when i woke up it was still sleeping, so i changed the time back a few hours so it could sleep a while longer and when I wasnt busy i forwarded the time to when it wakes up. At the end, this one died when it was suppose to turn into a teen too....
I don't understand what is going on. I realize this tamagotchi is hard and i'm taking nearly perfect care of it but it's still dying right when its about to turn into a teenager.
Any help or input would be greatly appreciated.

I've had the same problem- This is what I've figured out.
You probably know how the Tamagotchi Ocean (UmiNo) runs out of hungry/happy hearts really fast. Although it may seem difficult, you have to keep your Tamagotchi Ocean's hearts from dropping to zero as much as possible. (I know it sounds hard- but I've tried it, and it worked, and for an adult I got a lively Taiyakitchi! :-D )
Good luck, ButterflyKisses! ;)

CTF - I'm not sure if that's the problem. I think the most I've had the hearts drop is 3 times...
I'll try running it again, i guess. I'll make sure not to drop any hearts this time.

Sometimes the hearts drop while sleeping, like once every 3 hours or something. I know that isn't your problem, but I just wanted to give you that tip.
I don't know what you could do, as I have no experience with Tamagotchi Oceans. (Sorry) I just saw that tip somewhere.

You are right, the hearts dropping is only part of the problem. I hope this helps I got it from a friend.
When you start your ocean fill the hungry and happy meters then wait and watch the pattern of the hearts dropping. It should be 3 hungry hearts to one happy heart. Once that happens fill them again and make sure each time before filling them that it's in that pattern.
Another important key thing, it must take no more than 2 shots to heal it in it's first stage or it will die before evolving. And no more than 4 sicks in a stage or it will die.
Again, I hope that this helps.

Hey Tama_Freak,
I'm on vacation right now, but that information sounds promising! I'll try running my Ocean Tama again when I get home. I'll be back home in about two weeks.
Any and all information is useful! I plan on adjusting my care taking skills according to all of your input!
Thanks,

Hey. I don't know if you're still working with your Tamagotchi Ocean or having problems, but I just found my old one yesterday... I might throw some batteries in and see what happens.
I can't remember much about it right now... I remember USING it, but I think I kept getting bored and restarting it like every two seconds. :P You know, attention span of a gnat, eight and nine year olds and such--whatever age I was back then...
I DO know that generally, the further back you go with the Tamagotchis, the fewer extra features--jobs, breeding, school, etc--the more attention you have to pay to them. They're DEMANDING, the babies! I started up my 1997 original Tamagotchi yesterday--and I FORGOT how much time you had to spend with them; basically the entire hour it was an infant, I was coddling it. They're also less forgiving, the 'Gotchis that came before the Connection era. You've gotta REALLY take care of them, 'cause that's the ENTIRE idea. No skill points, no jobs, no school, no mating, none of that. They're a real responsibility sometimes.
Well... I don't remember the Ocean being any harder, but again, I wasn't paying much attention, and I don't think any of mine on the Ocean ever even got that old... :( I'll start it up and see.

I actually just started up my ocean tama again a couple days ago.
I think that it might have taken more than 2 shots to heal the baby though when he was sick.... so does this mean he'll die before he evolves now?
This stinks. I think today he's suppose to evolve. So i'll see what happens.

There is a good chance that it will still evolve. I think one of mine still changed with more shots. I think it's only takes 2 shots as infant to get the mermaid.

Mine needed five shots as a baby today when it got sick. And I was taking EXCELLENT care of it, so there's really no reason for it to be exponentially sick. I think these ones just DO that for some reason.
Anyway, it evolved into a toddler, no problem. :kura:
