Was the Ocean Tamagotchi ever released in Europe/UK?

I do not remember ever seeing it in the shops at the time of release, and only ever see Japanese or American ones for sale.

I live in germany and unfortunately the ocean was never released here -__-

I think it was only released in japan and the usa

The Tamagotchi Ocean/ Umi no Tamagotchi was only released in the the U.S. and Japan, both in four different colors/designs--eight designs total.

You're welcome. I'm sorry for the disappointment... :( I think it was too early yet in Tamagotchi development for Bandai to release all the different versions in the same places the released the P1 & P2, because they didn't know yet how successful they'd be. They figured US--the U.S.--to be the biggest suckers for their products--and they're RIGHT--so they pitched 'em to us.

But if you don't have a Tamagotchi Ocean or Umi no Tama yet... I wouldn't let the fact that there's no UK/European release stop you from getting one. They're expensive, whether you get the Japanese version or the US version--and, if there was a UK version, I'm sure it'd be very expensive now, too--but they're well worth it. (EDIT: I do understand the sentiment of wanting one from where you live, though... I think that's how we all feel about EnTamas. :angry:)

They're by far one of the most difficult Tamas to raise--which is why, I'm guessing, the release was not more wide-spread, and why they didn't seem to last long in the US--and I know this because I have yet to get one past the toddler stage yet! It would certainly be rewarding, though, to raise one to adulthood. :kura:

Just thought I would check if they were released in the UK, and if so I would have tried hunting one down.

Least I can stop looking, and just decide when to get one of the others.

All hope is not lost! I have recently foud a picture of a tamagotchi ocean in a packaging that is the same as UK style of packaging.
