Title: Tamagotchi GB
Description: How did it start?

There has been a game boy game of Tamagotchi. I really want to know the history about it. :haha: :memetchi:  And when I raised two perfect care tamagotchis on my Japan import, (Shirotchi and Kurotchi were they're names) I end up with Kusatchi and Kutchipatchi! Why does this happen?

Both babitchis being relatively young, it's easy to end up with either Kuchitamatchi or Hashitamatchi.
In GB, unlike in P1-P2 even the weight and diet affects the 'gotchi growth, alongside the IQ/Beauty/Strength ratio, even if you took care of your 'gotchi you might still end up with Kuch- hashitamachis. Since Tongari/Tamatchis cannot turn into such. Like in case of Tamagotchi CD-ROM, no-ones bothered to go into the details making the information on this subject rather limited.
What I remember having from my import, and two seperate emulated sessions I recall getting Kuchipatchi from neglecting the weight of my 'gotchi and gave little to no training to him, whilst I got Mametchi's and Pochitchis keeping the weight in ideal-average and IQ Maximum to medium respectively. I am however, working on the details on this matter.
One guaranteed gotchi is Mimitchi, whom you can get via feeding your gotchi carrots and only carrots for till he's six.
Origins of GB version is rather shady, my guesses are that the Bandai used their already established revenue to support this game, which would've been successful but, thanks to it's lack of portability compared to the P1-P2 toys and lack of popularity (Being end of the fad, 98') game was quickly forgotten, leaving GB 2 as JAP only.

I don't know if the English version is any different than the imported Japanese one, but looking at it now... *grabs game and GBA SP*... it looks like most of my Tamagotchi died in toddler-hood, but for two--a Mametchi and a Hashitamatchi. *shrugs* What can I say? I actually got this game when it came out--and I was quite skilled in killing things. :haha:
I think I may try this game out for a bit, just to see if I can get any characters these ways... I think I'll try for Mimitchi.
Ah, and the PC version! I'd totally forgotten about it! (I ALWAYS got Masktchi, and I was never happy about it.) Wow, I wish I had a working PC... (I have a little laptop with Windows 7, but it's one of those TINY ones that doesn't even have a CD drive... darn. :( )
Sorry--I'm not much help here; I'm just reminiscing... and plotting to find myself a PC, stat! XD

And for Tamagotchi GB 2, it's practically Tamagotchi Forest and Ocean tama's jammed into one another with exploration twist, more contest and ability to raise two tamagotchis of both side at the same time.
This is in my opinion, is vastly superior to the first one. You won't get bored, due to slow pace of the previous game. They lack the tempreature factors from the repesctive tamas however, but all of this is replaced by training and competition options, plus points for the exploring faction where you could scour the riverside, beach, forest or plain bushwhacking and stumble upon a egg, as it if was easter all over again.
Sadly, this was JAP release only due to unpopularity of the ast , but interesting as it is, most of it its in english and interface doesn't involve much japanese.
And as a side-note, I own the tamagotchi CD-Rom and since 7th level is long since defunct, the game is free-ware abandonware, ie free to share. I've noticed some problems with W7 and 64 Bit OSs alongside some save issues, but I managed to get around of them all. With that being said, I am willing to share the .iso image.

:( :?: That's what I did. I kept it low weight, and both were TAMATCHIs. I barely have a chance to get Tongaritchi and Hashitamatchi due to Shiroakachantchi and Kurobabytchi become Marutchi.
