Title: A Mystery: P1 Or P2?
Description: What Is It?
sweetfire - March 6, 2010 11:20 PM (GMT)
One Of My Very Best Friends has this Tamagotchi and it is yellow with an orange boarder. I originally thought it was a P1, but then I saw a post about P2's that had one that looked A LOT like it. I'm now confused and don't know what it is. All I know is that it is a vintage Tamagotchi from around 10 years ago.
Can Someone help? :?:

Does it have a checkerboard patterned background, or a wavy pattern? Checkerboard is P1, whereas a wavy pattern would be P2.
Also, the game is different. P1 has a guess-which-way-I'm-going-to-turn game, and the P2 has a higher-or-lower number game. :)

I have that shell in a p2, was my second ever tamagotchi - but p1s also come in that shell.
So like Rushes said, the best way to check is to look at the background.

I'm not sure because my friend has the Tamagotchi, but I think it has a checkerboard pattern.... Next time I see her I will ask! :D

The yellow one in the middle is what I think the op is talking about, based on the description given.

Yeah! That's The one! Wow, that's a LOT of Tamagotchis there... :O:
So does that mean it's a P1?

Not exactly, since that shell was used for the p1 AND p2. You need to look at the background.

Hold On, I'll call my friend right now....... ;)
EDIT: Okay, I called her and she said it was a checkerboard pattern with blue and pink squares. So I'm guessing it is a P1! I will keep the topic open just in case, though. :D

Sureq's Tama was a P2. Look at the photo, and you can see the blue swirls on the yellow background.
Your friend has a P1. Look at the Tama, and you'll be able to see the blue and pink checkerboard squares.
