Title: Hi all, new owner here.
Description: Uhm.. So little threads here?
spyky - April 26, 2010 04:37 AM (GMT)
Hello everyone, I'm Spyky calling in from Singapore.
I'm currently 24, studying in a local university.
Recently I've bought an Attame Rabo and an Otoizm (off the discount shelf) and thus got into the tamagotchi "scene".
I used to own one or two when I was much younger, I don't know if they were bootlegs and such. I've since lost them and don't remember :(
Currently now, I own a Green Tamagotchi-iD (freakin expensive), a Hexagontchi (awaiting shipment, kinda regret should've gotten the new Tama-iD colours instead), and the above 2 mentioned non-tamagtochi virtual pets. I understand very simple Japanese, and have no problem navigating Japanese menus, but I'm not good enough to catch the Tamagotchi conversations.
Hope to make friends and see ya guys around.

Hi, welcome! We are all friendly here!
What kind of pet is an Attame Rabo?

I'm really happy to see another older tama fan! I'm 27 and I'm totally into tamagotchi. I got into them when they first came out, had a couple in my teenage years, then when I moved out I had maybe a handful. Well I lost them when I moved out of my ex's house, and I wanted to start up again so I went out and bought a couple of tamagotchis, but this time didn't stop at just a handful...it's more like several totes in my closet now. ^^;;
Hopefully you'll continue on collecting, despite the costs of some of the newer models. They might be more expensive, but I must say the colors really bring them to life. I'm in love with the iD. :)
Nice to meet you, and hope to see you around the forums!

@all
Haha thanks for the welcome people!
Maybe I should start a tama log! It's pretty interesting reading all about them in the forum.
Yeah I plan to buy every new major tamagotchi release from now on. I'm also trying to track down V4s in my area, since people seem to recommend it over V5s.
@sureq
I'll post a pic of it as soon as I'm done with my exams (ends friday). It's basically a full round egg v-pet with a manifying glass at the top to peep into the display.
@atashi
I'm glad I'm not the only older one around :) Actually I'm not reaally sure what the average age is around here but I guess i'm pretty much on the older range..

Actually, this is a forum for mature tamagotchi owners, so a lot of our members are adults.

Even so, I would wager a good majority fall between that 14-21 bracket. It's kind of nice to see someone on the other side of it...makes me feel a little less odd. ;) (Well I think the word is 'eccentric' as my husband puts it, nicely.)

My Hexagontchi arrived in the mail today!! I bought the white version since it looks like many people have the red version.
I feel like just leaving it in the box to preserve its mystery and value!
But what fun is a tamagotchi when you can't play it!
