As most of you will know, the Tamagotchi Music Star: World Tour Edition (nicknamed the "V6.5" was scheduled for release in August 2009, in America. Everyone was reasonably excited, because the idea for this Tamagotchi sounded a fair bit more exciting than the original V6.
And, of course, we're Tamagotchi fans, and this is a new Tamagotchi. ;)
Anyway, but it was never released. We were all worried that Bandai had quit making Tamagotchis altogether, kinda like the Tamagotchi "Garden" they were planning on releasing. (I still want the English-language Garden. It looked so intriguing and different from the Japanese version!)
Then Bandai started hinting in various places (particularly emails and what-not) that there was another Tamagotchi on the way. All they said was "mid to late 2010".
Later, they revealed a TamaTown fact sheet, yada yada yada, and now the Tama-Go has been placed on Amazon and Toys R Us, and a couple of people have received this new release. This release, by the way, is the first new Tamagotchi release since December 2008.
But which idea do you think was better? Which one would you rather have been released?
EDIT: The options "I like both ideas" and "they're both equally good ideas" are the same. That was a mistake. If possible, could a staff member please delete the latter of those options? If not, don't worry. :)
I like both ideas. The world tour edition would be fun, more games, more concerts, more everything! Probably even buttons that actually WORK. The Tama-Go is also a great idea because it is highly similar to the Tamagotchi+Colour. Both were great, but I would of LOVED to see the V6 World tour Edition. I mean, your band could travel round the world, I bet there would of been something like a Band Van, which you can customize and practice in. Maybe dress your band members and raise Baby Bands that make toddlers music. Maybe even CHOOSE where you preform. NEW TAMATOWN TOO! But I LOVE the idea of the Tama-Go too! Collectible figures that hook onto your Tamagotchi to unlock new shops and games! You get your own room to customize, you can go OUT of the house! MORE characters! I wish there was both, I think the V6.5 should of come out in August and the Tama-Go August THIS YEAR.
If they were to release a V6.5 edition finally, it would have to have some major revamps such as more responsive buttons, better graphics/pixellation, more characters, more toys, instruments, etc. I'd prefer the Tama-Go anyway. The Music Star was good idea overall, but not really one of my favorite Tamagotchi's.
Sincerely i dont like the idea of makine version.5 of a released tama version, the tama-go idea is better than another upgraded version of another tamagotchi ;)
