I am somewhat interested in creating a Vpet using an arduino. I have basic programming experience, but I have never worked with a micro controller before. Does anyone know of any websites that offer programming tutorials for arduinos?

What will you use for human interface devices (buttons, speaker, display, etc.)?

I'm probably going to use a display (a touch display), a speaker and a home button. The input will be somewhat like the pocket designer.

It's been a while since I've played around with an Arduino. From what I remember the language is a bit like C.

Here's the IDE download site: http://www.arduino.cc/en/Main/Software

Have you seen the Arduino tutorials on their site?

As for programming and reading input from the touch screen LCD, you'll have to refer to your specific LCD model's documentation. I imagine the manufacturer of such a device would provide a library and some sample code showing how the functions work.

Yes. I have worked with C++ before, but it has been a while.
