Devilgotch Hatch

Welcome to the Devilgotch Hatch! Let's welcome Halloween with a spook-tacular hatch and hope the little devils don't play too many tricks on us!

This is an open to public hatch for anyone with a Devilgotch, if you've got one, you're more than welcome to join. Please be sure to read the rules thoroughly to make sure this hatch runs as smooth and efficiently as possible. If you aren't a participant, this doesn't mean that you can't comment or read through as long as your comments are relevant and on the subject, thanks. The list of participants so far are: tamagothi freak, Blue Haired Beauty, WarOmnimon, and Sarah2626.

Participants need to hatch a Devilgotch whithin the time frame of their own local time on the 19th. Just make sure it isn't any later than that.

Each participant's first post must include a photograph of their tamagotchi as proof that they're just starting it for this hatch. Hatchers finish posting here when their tamagotchi becomes an adult/special character.

We're going to have more fun than a barrel of bats in this hatch, let me tell you.

I just found out that I don't have the best webcam in the world on my netbook, but it's better than the webcam I was using for my logging previously. Anyway, on to business. For this hatch, I'll be running the cell phone version of the Devilgotchi released outside of Japan, the Tamagotchi Monster. I didn't get any snaps of the startup screen, but I will describe it - instead of an Obaketchi and a grave like on the actual Devilgotchi, you see a puff of smoke going side to side and occassionally the bat from the Angelgotchi will appear out of the smoke. He changed after 30 seconds or so into...

...a Zukideviltchi.

Following up on the Addams Family naming scheme I used for Gomez (Which was the previous run in a group hatch for me with the Monster), I decided on the name Lurch. Upon his first appearance, I fed him the necessary Pie to get his Hungry hearts filled up, and played a perfect game to get two Friend stars (The equalivent to the Happy / Effort meter on the Devilgotchi).

After that, Lurch wanted to shake hands as shown above. He hasn't really caused any trouble yet, but I'll be sure to take a snap when he does - the Monster has a cool inverted color effect when the Tamagotchi is causing trouble. I am hoping for either a Kabodeviltchi or a King Deviltchi on this run - Kabodeviltchi really fits the Halloween mood, and I came close to Gomez becoming a King Deviltchi, so that's why I'm hoping for either or.

Here are my devil hatch photos.

I'm going to keep the hearts at 2 on both stats and I haven't figured out what to do with the DP level. (I just know not to let it go to 99) I remember running my devil before but can't find the log. Maybe it was on a different site. Any-who here I am. ( I may hav e to pause it during my test tomorrow but other than that I'll be on par.)

Hi everyone!
OK uni work is over so time to hatch my Devil!

This is my Devilgotchi:

I inserted the batteries, hit the reset, and took a few photos while I waited....

...and then realised I hadn't set the clock. I thought it was taking too long

Anyway, I EVENTUALLY got Zukidebitchi:

I decided that my little devil is a girl, and I'm going to call her Sekhmet (after an Egyptian goddess).

Sekhmet will be coming to uni with me, but I will have to pause her on Saturdays as I work all day and won't be able to check on her regularly.

I'll post more pics tomorrow, my camera battery has decided to die on me!

I started my pink Devil around Noon today before I left the house for the weekly errands.

Here it is! my only Devil with actual working screws!! Yes yes, miracles can happen. I have never run this one either.

There it is. I came out of the bank to a steaming pile of Devil poo. Thanks little guy..

What wondrous entries so far! I really do regret not being able to participate, but at least I'm living vicariously through you guys' entries.

Tama freak: You want to keep the DP level as low as possible. If it goes up to 99, it will suddenly die.

Sarah: I love that black shell, it was the color I had originally wanted, but I had to settle for my second choice white in the end. Also, what an intriguing decision to name your little devil after the Goddess of war, Sekhmet. She's one of my favorite Egyptian Goddesses. Also the fact of her being closely interwoven with Hathor in the myths makes it more interesting to learn of her.

Mothie: What a brilliantly bright pink! And what luck that you started out with a Devilgotch instead of Zukidebitchi! ^_^

I'm keeping the DP as low as possible. I will have to check my photos to see what adults I've had in the past. More tomorrow...

Nobody has posted the chart yet so there we go with that.

Not much to report for today. I have not brought a Tamagotchi to work lately so some people were like.. oh yeah, she brings those things...

And some new people were kinda WTF is that thing?

So yeah, it beeped on every break I had. I didn't want it to announce it's self like that but oh well. But at least the big boss didn't see.

Ra: Yeah the black was my first choice, it is gorgeous. I chose the name Sekhmet as I'm studying Egyptology at uni, Egypt is a big passion of mine, as well as Tamas of course!

Sorry I don't have any pics today, despite charging my camera up all night, the battery is still dead! It's currently charging AGAIN, so hopefully it'll be fine tomorrow.

Anyway, Sekhmet is doing fine. She's one, her DP is 5, and she fell asleep with a full tummy and three happy stars. I'm not really aiming for any particular character, I'm just looking after her the best I can. I shook her hand a couple of times today, and she misbehaved a few times.

She fell asleep at 9pm, and now has her sound switched off so she doesn't wake me up through the night!

OMG How cool is that ?!?!?! I LOVE EGYPT !!!!! (and tamas too) I have the Eye of Horus tattoo on my left hand and I'm designing my own Egyptian themed sleeve for my left arm.

In Hatch related news little devil is doing well. The first day I was all like trying for pumpkin-head adult but I looked at the secret characters and thought I might try for the best care one, Kuri-Debitchi. So I've kept the DP below 10 zero as much as possible. Full meters too.

How nifty! I had originally thought of becoming an Egyptologist, but then I discovered that unless you unearth something spectacular, there isn't going to be much money in it. Plus, even 'if' you do find something, the Egyptian government won't let you keep it. So I was like, "Uhh, why would I want that again?" so I went with Graphic Design instead.

However, my passion for ancient Egypt remains, and I know the entirety of the Myths by heart. I think my name speaks for how much I like ancient Egypt.

Ra: My course concentrates on the language mainly, we don't do any archaeology, so most of my time is spent translating hieroglyphic texts (and yes it is as difficult as it sounds!). But yeah I know what you mean, Zahi Hawass is very protective of his country's history.

Sekhmet's DP has been kept low, I don't think it's gone above 10 since she was born.

I took Sekhmet into uni with me, where she had to sit (in my pocket) through a difficult language lecture, which as you can see she was thrilled about:

Quick update. Lil'Devil finally got unpaused. I'm not messing with the clock (although I did accidentally advance one minute but that's not going to mess with it's growth) He'll be awake again in 15 minutes and then I will pause him again before bed and catch up tomorrow at the right time.

@Sarah: Awesome pic's. I wish you and Ra luck with your studies.

BTW I passed my 3 hour long test today

No pictures this update, but be rest assured that I have been continuing to take care of Lurch. Right now, his MP (The Monster's equalivent to the DP) is in the 0-20 range, and I'll be putting him to bed shortly. Zukideviltchi seems to wake up at 8AM and go to bed at 9PM - I'll double check these times tomorrow, as he will probably be evolving Friday.
