It's time for Tama Zone's Annual
Pumpkin Decorating Contest!

Welcome to yet another Halloween here at Tama Zone! Following in our usual traditions, we've got our three templates for people to choose from, when designing their pumpkins. We had some wonderful entries last year, I'm sure this year's will be even better!

Rules:

1. You must use one of the templates provided, at the size it is.

2. Entries should be Halloween-themed, and Tamagotchi-themed entries are encouraged.

3. Entries must be created by you. You can draw them by hand or on the computer. It's also fine to copy and paste Tamagotchi sprites and official Bandai Tamagotchi art onto your entries, however you may not use art that was created by another Tama fan.

4. One entry per person. It's okay to change your entry, by editing your post.

5. To enter, reply in this topic. Don't chat, we'll have another topic for that.

6. Winners will be chosen by the Staff. Staff can enter the contest, but are not eligible for prizes if they're involved in the judging.

7. The entry deadline is Thursday, October 29. We'll try to hand out prizes after Halloween, by Monday, November 2nd.

The previous two entries simply blew me away when I saw them! They're absolutely outstanding!

I wasn't entirely sure I would be entering this contest, but then I thought, "Why not?" and went ahead and doodled a little something. X3

Behold, the world's least intimidating pumpkin:

It didn't turn out exactly as I'd hoped it would, and I lacked a little inspiration... I was going to draw Kabotchi, but I entered with that last year, and I wanted something different and less obvious this year.

Just a brief explanation of the concept of my entry:

~ The pumpkin itself is based on the V3 character Decotchi, which looks similar to a Frankenstein head. (Well, in my opinion, it does... X3) Therefore I thought it would fit in well with the occasion. ^_^

~ The twins, Futago-Debiru, are flying across the sky, overlapping the moon.

~ Dorotchi and Young Dorotchi are in the east, flying overhead.

~ And, of course, my signature Tamagotchi, Memebotchi, is in the bottom-right. Only he would be afraid of such a pumpkin. XD

So, that's about it for my entry. ^_^ I don't think I need to mention anything else.

The Moon is Kuromametchi, the ghost is Makiko, There is a carving of Vamp Mametchi in the pumpkin, a cat on the mountain, and there is a petitchi with bat wings flying.

:3 I was blown away by all three of your artwork!

edit: I'm not finished, I just need to add shading.

Oooh, I'm loving all these entries!
Ra, the facial expression on the Kabotchi in your entry was just to cute, it's what inspired me to do mine XD.
Anyways, here's the silly little entry:

Wrong colors, wrong shading, wrong shapes, wrong wrong worng DX.
And don't even ask why the left wing got cut off XD.

Anywho, it's a Kabotchi, in case you couldn't tell :3.

Hold the phone! I've finally finished my entry! ^_^

Being the perfectionist that I am, this is copy #14, me thinks. :3

Anyways, to explain in a few words, the pumpkin in my picture is decorated with two Mimitchis (as I see them). However, If you step back, you can clearly see that the pumpkin itself has a face of it's own! In the background, you can see a few Halloween-y things, including a full moon, a haunted house, a bat, and a tomb stone. Just something traditional, with a little twist on it.

Also, I would just like to say that the previous entries, were some of the best pieces of artwork that I have ever seen! I was amazed, and I know that the judges have a tough decision before them. Whoever wins will truly deserve it. ^_^
