First of all, I want to apologize for the blurry photos for this first post. Didn't have good lighting, but considering that my little buddies aren't evolving until tomorrow, I figured that these would do for now mostly as proof that I've started up.

Anyway, for this hatch I have decided to start both of my Digimon Xros Wars Minis, specifically the Shoutmon Red and SkullKnightmon Black versions. In the US and Europe, this series is known as Digimon Fusion, so to make it easy for everyone to understand whether they follow the Japanese version or not, I'm going to use the English names and terminology for this log.

With that, here's today's batch of pics.

user posted image
Obligatory showing of the Bandai logo is obligatory. It should be noted that the menus and gameplay are the same across all three versions - only the character lineup changes.
user posted image
Shoutmon, the leader of the Fusion Fighters and the main hero of Digimon Fusion. There is no egg hatching animation on these Minis - the starter for each version just pops up immediately after setting the clock and you can get to work right away.
user posted image
The choices for food are a bit different. The vitamin is still present to boost your Digimon's strength without training, but you'll notice that the main meal is a canned snack instead. This is Diginoir, which is essentially the same thing as Cheerios.
user posted image
SkullKnightmon, the leader of Team Midnight and at first a "friend or foe?" character. Those who saw Fusion from start to end, however, know how that turned out. Long story short... he isn't the main villain, but he's DEFINITELY a foe.

Both Shoutmon and SkullKnightmon go to bed at 7:00PM. Considering that it is 5:36PM here, I'm not going to make too much progress with either of them today - the first major batch of progress will be made tomorrow, which will also see them get their first battles with the computer. And that means that they will likely Digifuse with one of their defeated rivals to go to another form.

Hi all!
The Tamagotchi I will be running for this hatch is an older V3 which has had some exterior design changing over the years. It used to be a floral design which was a little to girly for my taste, so I removed that and threw on some orange buttons.

I started it up mid-morning my time and was pleasantly surprised to find a girl (which makes little/no difference with the gender neutral v3 characters).

I named her Amy from a book I am currently reading.

Another standout feature and personal enjoyment of mine surrounding this tamagotchi are the games.

Well, it's time for the big reveal. Through the speedy service that is EMS post, my new addition arrived this morning, just in time for the hatch... This is quite a momentous occasion and I hope you'll all realize just how much this not so small egg means for my collection...

Enough introductions, let's show it off!

After popping batteries in - I don't think this one ever had a tab, I was greeted with a new and unique egg.

user posted image

Isn't it pretty? tsub-smile.gif

After the usual five minute wait, all the buttons began flashing and out popped a little... Hmm, what's this guy's name?

I had to consult a growth chart but it's quite a mouthful! ChikaChikaBabytchi is his name.

Anyway, of course I fed him... Rice, to be expected.

user posted image

And we played a few games! The game on this tamagotchi is a simple matching game. A snack shows up in the upper left corner and you choose one of the three other boxes. If it matches, that's a point! You play five times, and you need to win at least three points to make your tamagotchi gain a happiness heart.

Nice Yasashii there, DragonSparke - congrats on finally getting one! Seeing one of these in this hatch is definitely a pleasant surprise... I didn't even see it coming. And GotchiBoy, I don't blame you there. I don't do those modifications, but some of the shell designs are indeed a bit too much on that side of things. It's one reason why the simpler shell desgins they've been putting out lately are good with me! tsub-smile.gif

Alright, now my progress since starting up. Shoutmon and SkullKnightmon both made good progress this morning after waking up. Not only did they get some heavy training in, but they also got the first Digifusions done... which means they aren't Shoutmon and SkullKnightmon anymore. And with that, it's photo time... and look at that, they're actually easy to see!

user posted image
A better look at Shoutmon in his happy pose.
user posted image
Same for SkullKnightmon, also happy as can be.
user posted image
Shoutmon's special attack... *Takes a deep breath* FIERY FASTBALL! tsukkomitchi.gif With that said, it should be noted that the battles are similar to those on the D-Scanner and Pendulum Progress in both gameplay and presentation here. Your Digimon will fire either one, two, or three shots, or one big Hyper Shot. The regular shots do as much damage as there are shots (Each Digimon has 6 HP), but a Hyper Shot will ALWAYS KO on a successful hit.
user posted image
SkullKnightmon's special attack, Spear Needle. This is where you can notice the presentation of the battles being the same as the aforementioned two earlier releases, as there are no unique attack sprites.
user posted image
Shoutmon's first opponent is... Pickmon. After defeating this nice guy, Shoutmon helped him up to his feet (Of course, that's not shown on screen) and the option to perform a Digifusion came up. Needless to say, we accepted.
user posted image
DIGIFUSE! This X (Which is drawn in via a four frame animation) will come up often, as in every time you perform a Digifusion. If you're running these Minis... get used to seeing it. At least it never gets old. tsub-smile.gif
user posted image
Haha, this guy certainly looks familiar! It's our old pal Guilmon from season 3! 00.gif
user posted image
SkullKnightmon's first opponent is... Monitamon. After SkullKnightmon beat the monitor ninja at his own stealthy game, the Digifusion option came up. One word... ACCEPTED!
user posted image
Well well well... look who we've got here! It's Belphemon Rage Mode, that massive bad boy who wrecked lots of stuff in Data Squad! One thing that is notable about Belphemon is his sleep animation...
user posted image
...because he Mode Changes into Sleep Mode, as in the cuter first form he took in Data Squad. It should be noted that Imperialdramon Fighter Mode does the same thing on the Greymon Blue version, Mode Changing to Dragon Mode before going to sleep. In both cases, they return to Rage Mode / Fighter Mode when they wake up.

My little guy evolved last night and promptly went to bed, so I took a photo of him this morning!

user posted image

He's now Hoppetchi. I think he's super cute tsub-smile.gif I've caught him performing a few animations, like lifting weights and singing, but I wasn't fast enough to get to the camera! I think the Yasashii was the very first tamagotchi with these random 'flavour' animations.

Nice work DragonSparke! I agree with Hoppetchi being adorable... and he lifts weights? Love that not only because Tamatchi Angel does the same, but because I've got experience in that field as well... I'm sure that I've mentioned that here a few times before.

Also, dropping in with a quick update because Guilmon isn't, well... Guilmon anymore. He already got to his second Digifused form by defeating Dorulumon. Ladies and gentlemen, Shoutmon X4.

user posted image
While the X4 in his name is indeed read as "Times Four," here's a quickie fun fact. In the Japanese version of Digimon Fusion (Digimon Xros Wars - this explains these words being written on the Minis), the X4 is read as "Xros Four," with Xros being pronounced the same way as cross. Take your pick... either way, his name is Shoutmon something four, and either way, he's 4 Digimon combined into one (Shoutmon, Ballistamon, Dorulumon, and the Fusion version of Starmon).

Both Shoutmon X4 and Belphemon only have two forms left that are stronger than they are now. For Shoutmon, these are X4B (X4 + Fusion Beelzemon) and X5 (X4 + Sparrowmon), with the latter being the more powerful. In Belphemon's case, these are Lucemon Shadowlord Mode (Another end boss tier villain, in this case from season 4) and AxeKnightmon (SkullKnightmon + Axemon). I'll have a full update tomorrow... by then, you may just see Shoutmon X5 and AxeKnightmon already. Depends on if Sparrowmon and Axemon show up to challenge my current squad (And of course it also depends on if I win or not). tsub-smile.gif

Bunnigotch, I sent you a PM. If you didn't get it, you need to upload your photos to an image hosting website (like photobucket). Then, you copy a direct link of the photo from the site, and use the IMG option to paste the link. I think there is an explanation somewhere on the forums also.

I started my Tamagotchi V5.5 (Celebrity Version) and they were at the teenage stage and I did not have the heart to reset them. I decided to go up.5 and just do my V6, since other people were doing the V3, V4 and V4.5. I would have ran my V5's, but they both have pink on them and I really did not want to carry around a pink shell. I also would have had a blended family, which is fine, but I would rather have the characters off of the V5.5 or V6 rather than the normal V5.

So My Music Star just hatched and I decided to name him Inkling! He looks like a little drop of ink doesn't he!?
user posted image

I then decided to change his instrument from a Mic to Timpani and his toy ship to a Tamagotchi, got to start them early, you know what I'm saying?

Before he was a toddler I played 7 games with him! I played 3 Sign-a-song and 2 of each of the other two games. his stats as of then were

He then evolved at 10:07 PM to a Kuchitamatchi, even after hyper alert care!

DragonSparke, your pic is showing up as "The image you are requesting does not exist or is no longer available." Just a heads up... really want to see that pic, but apparently it didn't upload correctly. *Summons Fix-It Felix*

Purimatchi, I approve of the last minute changeup! I really do need to go back to my Music Star at some point... as difficult as it is to deal with sometimes in regards to having to buy the food, I can definitely manage running it. That will likely happen in April earliest.

Anyway, more progress on my end this morning. Shoutmon X4 and Belphemon have reached their Level 7 Digifusions... those being Shoutmon X4B and Lucemon Shadowlord Mode, both of whom I mentioned in my previous entry.

user posted image
Shoutmon X4B. Defeating the Fusion version of Beelzemon and then Digifusing with him gets you this form, which makes sense given that this is X4 + Beelzemon. Always loved the centaur motif of this form (As well as that of X5B... but that form isn't obtainable on the Fusion Minis).
user posted image
Lucemon Shadowlord Mode. Defeating Myotismon and then Digifusing with him gets you the season 4 big bad. They should have chosen Lucemon Fallen Mode instead of Myotismon for that spot, to be honest... but I'm not complaining.

All that's left for Shoutmon and Lucemon to do is defeat Sparrowmon and Axemon - the only higher Digifusions available to them are their Level 8 Digifusions, which are Shoutmon X5 and AxeKnightmon respectively, and you get those by defeating the two Digimon I just mentioned. With that, let's end this post with fun art of Lucemon Shadowlord Mode that Bandai put out to go with his inclusion on the Digimon Mini 3.0's raisable roster. My preciousssssss... wink.gif

Yep, I can see it now Dragon. That is absolutely ADORABLE. tsub-smile.gif

Needless to say, there hasn't been much progress since my post a few hours ago. Shoutmon and Lucemon are both taking it easy for now, getting their food and training in. That way, once Sparrowmon and Axemon show up, I can get my partners to full power. Which may happen tonight if I'm lucky. D.gif

UPDATE:
Kuchitamatchi has received the backpack to go to school. Ms.Frill seemed excited, but I was not sure how he was going to react to the change ...

I decided to let him go and I watched from afar and he greeted Ms.Frill and then met another toddler. Ms.Frill then set up a jump rope for them to play double dutch. His first (Opponent) Friend was a Hitodetchi hitodetchi1.gif on the second jump she messed up and jumped too early. He was happy and then he jumped back home. We then played a few games at home and I allowed him to practice his instrument. He's finally hitting the star notes.

His stats as of now are:
Tone: 118
Rythm: 102
Original: 166

Stress: 17
