No, the game file will need to be the special JPG image with the necessary tags. Anything other than that will be futile.

Um i don't know if my phone has a IR port. I Doubt it won't.
My phone is a Verizon EnVtouch . Oh yeah if you
look at a picture of it, and you see the front side of it,
you will see a little black box thingy, and i dont know of that is a IR
port..So can you see if it is???

Sorry your phone does not have IR capability. Just google it or call you Verizon dealer if there's another phone you find. IR is on older phones. Now most phones use Blue tooth.

*also please do not post on old topics. It's been well over a month since anyone posted here. Be sure to read the TZ forum rules*

QUOTE (tamagotchi_freak_06 @ Jan 22 2010, 04:42 AM)
I wanted to start a separate topic just for the cell phones that will transfer files to the Tamagotchi iD and what exact files you can transfer

If you have any information please put it here.

I would love a complete (or from what you've found) list of the files and access to them in this topic please. I would like it if the modified room designs were not included at this time, please. Just the ones from Bandai with the additional game. (I'm trying to get a phone that will work and this topic will make it easy for me to find the files if they're all in one place.)

Also needed is the list of cell phones that have an IR port and work. Here's a partial list copied over from the iD topic.

Nokia 2865i - tamagotchi_freak_06
Nokia 3110 - emirvaleza
Nokia 5300 - Go!Go!Gotchi!
Nokia 6111 - Real_Three
Nokia E71 - DannyHibiki
Palm Centro - latinvixen
Palm T|X - thebreat
PALM TUNGSTEN E PDA - UK Tama Fan
Sony Ericsson K700i - Jazz2
Sony Ericsson K750i - UK Tama Fan
Sony Ericsson K790i - greym
Sony Ericsson K800i - UK Tama Fan
Sony Ericsson S710a - binary
Sony Ericsson W850i - greym
Sony Ericsson Z310i - Hidatchi
Sony Ericsson Z320i - Count
Verizon HTC Mogul - -Ra-
Windows Mobile PDA - Chibi
Windows98 Laptop PC with built-in IR port - Tama-Star_Girl
Windows XP/Vista PC with Belkin USB Infrared Smartbeam - neimo

Thank you in advance for helping me and others out with the phones and Tamagotchi iD's.

*binary: updated list of cellphones / PDAs that can transfer the files*

When i downloaded the files, on my cell the title is the same but with .EXT at the end of their name, the file format is jpg. Is a problem with the files posted by tamayoyo?

You mean they were .jpg until you transferred them to your phone, and now they say .EXT? In that case, it's something your phone is doing. Check your settings to see if there's any way to change the way your phone downloads or saves photos. Otherwise, I'm not sure why that'd happen.

Evie i tried again, but with a Sony Ericsson K300i and i got the same result
("Impossible to transfer the file").
It seems to be an automatic process of both the cellphones on the Nokia 6070 the file format is the same (jpeg) but the title changed in Game_Name of the Game.EXT, on the Sony Ericsson K300i it's clear that the file extension is EXT. On both the phones it's impossible to change the download settings sad.gif Any tips are really appreciated.

Maybe the problem is because it's treating it as a file, not a picture.

SonyEricsson (based on my S710a)
(1) save Tamagotchi-iD download file into the phone memory's Pictures folder.
(2) on the phone, launch the phone's File Manager, and open the Pictures folder.
(3) in the Pictures folder, cursor to the Tamagotchi-iD download file, then click the More button.
(4) in the More menu, select Send.
(5) in the Send menu, select Via Infrared.
(6) on the Tamagotchi-iD activate the connect icon (heart icon in the upper right corner of the display)
(7) in the connect menu, select Download (it's the fourth menu entry on the first page)
(8) align the phone & Tamagotchi-iD's infrared ports

Nokia (based on Users Guides from Nokia's web site)
(1) save the Tamagotchi-iD download file into your phone's Gallery > Images folder.
(2) on your phone, open the Images folder.
(3) in the Images folder, scroll to the Tamagotchi-iD download file, then click the Open button.
(4) select Options.
(5) select Send.
(6) select Infrared. (Note: some infrared-equipped Nokia models don't support sending images via infrared, so "Infrared" won't be listed.)
(7) on the Tamagotchi-iD activate the connect icon (heart icon in the upper right corner of the display)
(8) in the Tamagotchi-iD connect menu, select Download (it's the fourth menu entry on the first page)
(9) align the phone & Tamagotchi-iD's infrared ports
