I recently contacted Bandai UK about when a new Tamagotchi is going to be released, and this was their reply:

QUOTE
Good Morning Harry, The Tama Go will be released in the 2nd half of 2011. Kindest Regards Bandai UK Ltd

It looks like Tamagotchi will be coming back to the UK after all!

Yay, that's great! Maybe they'll come to Poland after UK! But we didn't have Music Stars, so... D:

But it's nice that they'll be in UK. tsub-smile.gif

That's great news! Let's just wish that they won't change their plans again, haha. Even though I live in Australia it would be sad to see Bandai discontinuing Tamagotchis elsewhere.

That's good. I agree with jeliestar because discontinuing them in one place could lead to trouble for the rest of the world. (Except Japan haha.gif )

So that's what Bandai EU was talking about. Well, they should know that kids these days already know about this stuff (thanks to things like the internet), so why did they try to keep it all a secret? rollover.gif

I was sorta hoping that it would be something especially special. It's nice that the European fans get to have a chance at the Tama-Go, however. tsub-smile.gif

Just sent an email to bandai uk about this asking if release of the tama go is still set for next month and if there's a definitive release date yet.

Also asked if there were any plans for a release of the iD or the iD L.

Will post any replies that i get here to keep everyone updated. I doubt that they'll have any info re: iD/iD L but we can only hope. Lol tsub-smile.gif

squall88uk, please don't bump topics over one month old. It's considered spam.

offtopic.jpg Sorry.

Didn't want to create a new topic for this considerin there was already one.

Thought it would be best to post it here where it links in to the other posts rather than put it somewhere else.

In future would i be better off creating a new topic then? Cause i would've thought it would be easier to find things on the site if there was only a single topic per subject rather than mutiple topics for exactly the same thing. There are already a few for this and this was the newest one. offtopic.jpg

Hi all

Just had a response from Bandai UK about the tama go.

QUOTE
Hi Jonathan

Thank you for your enquiry.

The Tama-Go is planned to be released into Argos stores in July, unfortunately I don't have a specific date as yet.

With regards to the Tamagotchi id 1, we have no plans to release this at the moment.

Best regards,
Bandai UK Ltd.

So some good news for those of us in the UK who want to get the tama go without paying a fortune hopefully.

Shame about the iD/iD L but i wasn't really expecting anythin. However heres hoping that if the tama go takes off over here and then hopefully it'll reinvigorate the brand over here and then maybe they'll consider a release of the iD/iD L.

Anyways, even though i'm planning on getting an iD L imported from japan at some point soon, i'm still gonna get one of these from argos next month. tsub-smile.gif

That's awesome, thanks for contacting Bandai (and bumping!), that sounds great. Bandai America, however, never said 'yet' when saying that they not to release TMGC+C and iD/iDl. So, maybe Bandai UK wants to refresh Tamagotchi, and bring out it's own ones!

In this case, Squall, bumping is okay, because you had news pertaining to the topic. In most other cases, I would say make a new topic. tsub-smile.gif
