Furbies were ALWAYS terrifying. I had a baby Furby and couldn't for the life of me figure the darn thing out! It finally woke me up one time too many and I tossed it in the garage sale bin. Aha I don't know how you guys do it!

EDIT: after watching the video.... I'm curious... and also very terrified about these new furbies!

I don't like Furbies but I do own a few - an original green one and two white babies.

I picked up a couple of the new Furbys yesterday, and they're just as annoying as the originals! Listening to them screech out random gibberish really takes me back.

For whatever reason, I'm enjoying Furby a lot more the second time around, but I do think the $55-$60 price tag is a bit much, especially considering they pretty much have the same "intelligence" level of the '98 version.

I've always found them creepy. Hearing "feed me" from the dark in the middle of the night was enough to make you lose your sleep. Now on top of their usual creepiness, they have glowing eyes to scare a whole new generation of kids with! haha.gif

LOL! That is both hilarious and so true.

Because the new Furbys have such bright eyes, I was curious to see how they would look in the dark, so I switched off all the lights. What I saw was terrifying. Two sets of crazy eyes with pupils darting all over the place and occasionally distorting into unnatural shapes -- the stuff of nightmares!

Cleaning up the closet I found my old Furby, you might wonder how it got there ... because .. small caused me nightmares, he had a terror impressive, but now I see the new Furby those devilish eyes and mine looks like an angel next to them ..

Here I leave a picture of him D.gif

I got one after pleading for a furby when I was 13. I think it took about a week when I stopped playing with it. I really disliked the old 1998 original Furby. Its creepy eyes and voice just weren't for me. That being said, I really love the new furby. The new eyes are a huge improvement and makes the toy far more expressive. They just look so much cuter now too. My purple furby is currently in Valley girl personality .

I'm glad somebody else noticed this! To me it sounds like a constant stream of high pitched rodent titters, and it gets REALLY annoying after awhile.
