On unboxing my new P I entered in all my details with the help from various online guides. Once that was sorted, I hatched an Aokumotchi. Shortly after this I managed to patch the device into English; hooray! That's so much easier to understand. So now I have two English language colour Tamas, yay!

Aokumotchi quickly became a Turtletchi who became Maimaitchi. I had no idea about Personality Traits so I'm not sure if anything I did influenced the Teen evolution. I got to play around with the Paint function, which was surprisingly fun. Kind of sad this doesn't apply to Adult Tamas. Anyway, I played with the Sewing Kit at some point, which gave me the Stylish Personality Trait. Still had no idea what these were, but I saw a little mirror pop up on my Tama's profile page, haha. This resulted in me getting a Rightchi.

I didn't really explore a huge amount before I got Rightchi; I think it's partly because I wasn't entirely sure what I was doing and also because I was focused on connecting to my ID L E to get Giragiratchi. Since getting Giragiratchi I've dedicated a bit more time to my P. Today, for the first time, I sent my Tama to school! That was fun, watching him attend a sewing class and his diary entry at the end! Apparently you can send Adult Tamas to work, but I have not figured out how to do this yet (I think I need to be at Bud Park before a certain time in the morning? Ah, Bank Holiday weekend, I'm sure I'll figure it out soon).

I've also got a TamaPet! Monatototchi, a little fish guy. Finding the TamaPets on the P isn't quite as cute as on the iD L E; I miss the football animation. A week ago I also visited Bud Park and met the Eco-Usatchi Triplets who gave me an Eco Scoop for helping out. I've tried using it in the garden, but to no avail. Rightchi just digs holes, aha.

I also bought the Star★Circus deco pierce (it actually arrived about a week before the P!). Boy, is my bank account regretting me not buying one of these sooner; I swear that the prices have sky-rocketed, even just in the last six months! Psh, oh well. I've ordered Love & Melody and MelodyLand too, just waiting for them to arrive.

I like the Star★Circus pierce though. I was hoping to get Majokkotchi, but as I've already mentioned, I wasn't really sure what I was doing in terms of evolutions until after I got my adult. Ah well! Next time it'll hopefully be a Star★Circus character, as I really do like them. The banner is pretty fun too; much nicer than the starter banner. I've not yet tried either of the clothes (Magician's Hat and Wizard's Robe) or bought the wallpaper, but I've tried all three food items. Turns out the Circus Snack unlocks one of Rightchi's Puzzle Pieces, so that's a bonus! I also kind of enjoy the animation sequence of visiting the Star Circus itself.

The Star★Circus game is alright. It's pretty simple and drags on and on. I may be wrong, but I swear (all of the P's) games are longer than the max. 30 seconds on the iD L E. I prefer the built in games on the iD L E too; they seem a bit more challenging. Took me ages to get a perfect score on the Burger game, whereas I hit perfect on all three (the two built in and Star★Circus one) P games the same day I got it.

Overall, I think I actually prefer my iD L E to the P so far. That may be because I've not experienced everything the P has to offer yet, so my opinion may change. I'll admit that although Tamagotchi's are easy enough to understand without English, I do think it kind of removes some element of fun from it. I mean, sure, going to Donut Park on the iD L E and being told by Gotchiman 'You should come for a ride in my car. You can't, I walked today, haha.' (or something like that) doesn't actually add anything, it's just kind of fun? More so than going to Bud Parl and not knowing what anyone is saying.

That said, I have literally just read that the fourth (and final) English patch is out; hooray! So having a fully English P might make me like it more, as it'll have all of the daft and unimportant bits that the iD L E has. That's not to say I don't like the P, I think it's great; it's got some neat features and the use of Pierces is really quite fun. I just, currently, think the iD L E is superior. I also lovelovelove the TamaMeal and TamaSnack locations on the iD L E, which I don't think you ever get on the P? Which can make dinner times a bit expensive; no free food for you, Rightchi! (I also just like the fact it allows you to see all of your previously raised Tamas. It makes me less sad when I marry them off!)

What else? Well, I've got all of Rightchi's Puzzle Pieces; Space Food, the aforementioned Circus Snack (I can't tell if they're meant to be sweets or crisps?) and the Computer. Giragiratchi gifted about four Computers to Rightchi, which sort of gave it away that maybe this was his favourite toy. Getting all four unlocked Base, which seems to be a secret underground lab? This bit is all in Japanese though, which goes back to what I was saying about in comparison to my iD L E; would be more entertaining if I knew what was going on down in the lab!

I've also switched to the cards Wallpaper in the Living Room because I love cards and why not.

Well, I'm still in early stages yet! Got loads more to do and see and figure out and it's going to be fun doing it all. ^_^

So this morning, by complete fluke, I sent Rightchi to go work at the TamaDepa. I went to Bud Park and someone said something (it was in Japanese) and then I had to choose from four options (in English); TamaDepa, Bud Park, TamaMori and I think Cafe? So I picked one and then I got a little sign saying 'At Work', so, uh, guess that solves yesterday's ponderings!

It was at about 9:30amish that I sent him off, but I also hadn't moved the clocks forward on either of my Tamas, so I guess they thought it was about 8:30am. So, at least before nine, possibly later, to get a job?

I'm also hoping to patch up Tama later to be fully English later, but what with it being Easter and having family over, etc. it may not happen today! We shall see!

Oh, I also grew a big pink (cherry blossom?) tree in my garden! Yay!

Patched my Tama to the final English version this morning! Even though I'm not very far on this Tama I'm not going to do a full reset to get the complete English version (e.g., the rice/candy are still in Japanese) although I think my boyfriend would like me too, hah!

I also noticed that the screen got scuffed! =( Gutted. It's not that old and now, dead centre, it's all smudgy when I turn the screen on. Boohiss. I've tried a couple of 'DIY' screen scratch removal techniques (rubbing alcohol and erasers; didn't have much faith but I had the things to hand) and I've improved it a little, but it's still there. It was only in my jumper pocket and the the only other item with it was my iD L E. I've had my iD L E over two years now and that's been put in pockets of jumpers, bags, etc. and never recieved anything anywhere near as bad. Sigh. Think I'm going to invest in some watch dial scratch remover stuff and some screen protectors for after. If only I had money, huh. >_>

Still not got Giragiratchi's fourth Joy Sticker so I have still not married this pair, as much as I would like to! Will probably work on that the rest of this evening.

My new pierces arrived!! =D

... Only they wouldn't fit in our postbox. And I was out. And our Post Office closes before I finish work.

So no new pierces for me. ='( Ah well, at least I know what I'll be doing tomorrow evening!

I've also only just found out about the 'Virtual Deco Pierces' that are available to download. Exciting! Definitely looking forward to using those, but I'm not sure if I can switch between a physical pierce and a virtual one very easily (without having to re-download) and I think I'd rather play with my new physical pierces first.

I haven't done a huge amount with either of my Tamas recently. As I mentioned, my pierces arrived, so I excitedly went to the Post Office the next day to pick them up. Unpacked them, plugged in MelodyLand, great! Switched over to Love & Melody only to find that, no matter what I do, I cannot get Love & Melody to link! Wah! So I'm in the process of seeing if I can return it and spending the money on a new pierce instead (although I'd lose MelodyLand, which works just fine, ho hum). So I don't want to marry Rightchi off until I get the pierce, seeing as though he can transform (and I think Maharaja Rightchi is adorable).

Despite this, I've actually just ordered a second hand Royal Change pierce, which came in a bundle with a guide book and a Tama unit. Wasn't over fussed about the guide book, but it does mean I should be able to unlock some of the connection characters now!

So once I have a working Love & Melody, I'll be one pierce short of all of the ones I really wanted (any others are a bonus). Apparently my boyfriend wants to treat me to the last one, so I'm just waiting (it's Fairy Change). I'm also considering getting Berry Sweets as it looks pretty cute.

We shall see!

So, updates. Not that there is a huge amount to say, but Royal Change arrived today, whoop! Bought the living room and transformed Rightchi and it's all just super cute and I love it. So glad I bought it (my bank account? Not so much).

I also tried Love & Melody in my second P to see if I could get it to reset. The answer? Not at all. It won't connect to either P and I reset the new one a couple of times, just in case, but to no avail. So I guess that I'm returning it (the seller seems happy for me to, so no issue I guess). Because of this I decided to go waste more money that I don't have on a brand new Love & Melody pierce as the price had gone up again between me buying my second hand one and now. I also added Berry Sweets to the basket because it was the last one in stock and it was relatively cheap and because I apparantly have an unhealthy addiction.

Once they arrive it does mean I'll have all bar one of the pierces I want; I had a chance to get it for a reasonable price but my boyfriend told me to hold off as he'd seen an auction go cheaper. Missed out on both and now Fairy Change is crazily expensive, so I may have to accept it's a dream that will never happen. Ah well.

Still, now I have my Maharaja Rightchi I can go back to playing with my Tamas, hoorah! And maybe look at getting some of the connection characters next generation.

Mini updated; I managed to find Fairy Change yesterday! Hooray! So I have three more pierces on their way. Now I just need to send the non-working pierces back (it's taking a while, sigh).

I have also been flicking through the guidebook. It's actually really good; I didn't really know what you'd put in a guidebook for Tamagotchis, so I was surprised by how much content there was. It'd be more useful if I could actually read it, but even from what I can understand it seems quite helpful. I had intended to sell it, but now I'm not sure. It's second hand though and there was clearly something removable inside the front cover which has, presumably, been removed by the previous owner. I wonder what it was; I can't seem to find any information on it.

Anyway, now that I've bought all of the pierces I want (even if I don't yet have them) I may marry off Giragiratchi from my iD L E and Rightchi. I'm also thinking that I might get my boyfriend to hide the new pierces and only allow me a new one each month or something, rather than playing with them all at once.

Fairy Change arrived today! Not that I have an adult Tama to change right now, so I decided to keep Royal Change in until then. Hee. Happy Jester.

So I married Rightchi off to Giragiratchi and I got another boy, an Aokumotchi, who evolved into a Turtlechi and is now a Maimaitchi (same as previously). I'm going to try and get Atchitchi so that I can change him into Matchitchi with my new pierce! I actually got one of my friends to choose between Atchichi, Kuchipatchi and Spacytchi, which are the three Tamas I could have evolved. Going to need to change the time though as Maimaitchi is in bed right now, which means I won't be able to get any care misses. Hmm.

So I thought getting Atchitchi would be a bit of a pain as I did so many connects to my iD L E that it filled up Maimaitchi's happiness bar, and he was fully fed. So I had to sort of cheat and pause him over night and change the time to being 10am during the evening so that I could get the care misses, but get them I did!

Maimaitchi evolved on Saturday morning. I was very happy to see this as it meant I could finally try out my Fairy Change pierce! I'd kept Royal Change in until then because I love the background and while I didn't have an adult to change there wasn't a huge point in switching them. So on Saturday morning I exictedly linked up Fairy Change, even though I pretty much knew everything that was on it (I've obsessively watched reviews, oops). The banner is pretty, but would probably be nicer if it didn't have 'Fairy' emblazoned across the top! I then went and bought the Fairy wallpaper and, ah! It's even more beautiful in real life! So glad I got this pierce.

Of course, I immediately changed Atchitchi into Matchitchi; I love the play on words there. He's adorable! Love him so much!

So far I figured out two of Matchitchi's Puzzle Pieces. One was Mushrooms from the Restaurant. It's a Fairy Change item, so I don't actually know what Atchitchi's favourite food item would normally be. The other item I found was the toy Trim Set which has an amusing little animation where Matchitchi trims a Tamapet's fur then gets swamped by them. Hehe. Just trying to figure out the third Puzzle Piece. I'm assuming that it's a clothing/accessory item, which means that I can't have Matchitchi in his fairy form. Sad face.

So far I've tried Glasses, Silk Hat, Crown and Lab Coat. So far no luck! Hope I find it soon, I want my little fiery pixie!

I cheated a little figuring out Atchichi's last Puzzle Piece. I asked my boyfriend to read it in the guidebook and give me hints. It was the Cat Hat. I feel like I should have been able to work that out given that he liked the Trim Set, so Atchichi is clearly an animal fan but, alas, I did not.

Still, I got the fourth piece this morning and now Matchitchi is forever on my TamaTomo list, hooray!

I also got him a TamaPet; Rinsetchi.

Still awaiting my Berry Sweets and Love & Melody; I think I'm actually going to have to cancel the latter and order it from elsewhere. I feel like I am doomed to never get Love & Melody, which is the pierce I always wanted. =o

Anyway, I said farewell to Matchitchi today after tdying up Bud Park. I only got the Eco Scoop again. I then went on a couple of dates with Patitchi. He'd been on a few dates with other Tamas over the past few days but, eh. I did not like any of them with him as much as I did Patitchi. However, Matchitchi must have been on a date with Patitchi before, as he only went on two before the marriage prompt came up. They went to the Music Cafe then went to Bud Park. It was a cute cutscene, actually.

So now I have a little Pinkubotchi. Not sure who I'm going to try to get with her, but I've relinked the Star★Circus pierce, so maybe a Majokkotchi? We'll see!
