Is there any other good place to buy one of these phones aside from ebay?

I was wondering are all of these IR cell phones 'Smart phones'?

Also has anyone tried using an IR that plugs into their USB port on their computers and tried sending the files that way? (I'm just trying to find an easier more cost efficient way to get the files)
I found this video that shows how to use a USB IRDA

I just bought Nokia 5300. It doesn't work. Please help me. I'm really frustrated. It keeps saying FAILED with blue hearts. My Tamagotchi ID L is the English Version.

I have downloaded the .zip files and extracted it to my computer then transferred all the files that I like usinhg USB connection to my NOKIA 5300.

What seems to be the problem? Did I do something wrong? Help me please :?:

make sure the files are .jpg

I'm not sure what else to have you try, are you selecting the correct option under the door?

Maybe contact Go!Go!Gotchi! and ask them how they did it, since they were the ones who posted that it works

Here are my methods:
  • Sweex UFIR Stir(2.0) USB IrDA dongle (detected as Sigmatel USB IrDA dongle by Windows 8.1 no driver needed)
  • Compaq Armada 110 Notebook (Windows XP)
  • Acer Ferrari F-1000 Notebook (Windows XP)
  • Nokia 6230i - Mobile phone
Best transfers are with the Nokia Phone. I send the files to the Phone over bluetooth and then to P's using Ir. A transfer usually takes less the 10 seconds to transfer from PC to P's using the phone.
When I use any method on the PC I often need to fiddle around for minutes (when I'm lucky) to get a transer over.

I don't have experience with it but looking at the specifications I'd say it will work. That is if you're going to use it on a PC running Windows (XP/W7/W8) ofcourse.

I bought an HP IPAQ RX3000 from ebay and I want to report that it works perfectly with tamagotchi downloads.

These devices are very cheap, and shouldn't cost you more than $10-12.

This device also has a SD card slot, so you can just put the downloads on the card and insert into the PDA and you are ready to go.

you may add a HP pocket PC model hx2190b to the compatible list :)

I've also tested a Acer n50 Pocket PC but that one is not compatible.
